We have two series connected 2.2 kw (3HP) centrifugal pumps used for domestic water supply from ground floor to over head tank at 25 m high. Delivery line has 100 mm dia. reduced to 40 mm dia. GI pipe If we change the 40 mm dia. GI pipe to 75 mm dia. GI or PVC pipe, will there be any saving on pumping time?

im trying to design one heat exchanger to cold 100000kg/h lubricant oil from 348K to 323K using seawater at 303K. Flowrate for seawater is 64000kg/h. which formula to calculate q, U, A, and number of tube??? what is the standard size for industrial heat exchanger and the diameter required to design it? please help me…i need to submit this project due this friday
