in Heat exchanger what cause the flu gases to separte from the regular combustion air that goes out to the rooms for circulation?
Let’s just assume I want a heat exchanger to remove 10,000 BTU/hr. Is there a calculation on how to find it’s physical size. MOC is steel and the fluid in it is water.
Heat exchanger design!
Why would a system such as the countercurrent heat exchanger evolve? A. Reduce the loss of heat by distal appendages B. Maintain the continuity of nutrients to distal appendages C. Maintain blood pressure throughout the distal appendages D. Reduce the loss of fur by distal appendages
This link provides info on the geothermal heat exhchanger system. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geothermal_… Its very much the basic exchanger system. Can anyone explain to me how heat is extraced from the house during the cooling process??
I have a Gloworm boiler and I have got a plumber to look at it he said the heat exchanger needs replacing. Also the diverter valve. If the heater exchanger was not working would I still be able to get the heating to work?
I need the regulatory / engineering definition of a double wall heat exchanger. Is air required to distinguish one wall from the other or can it be oil, water etc? I am in Idaho but any state or federal regulation links will be helpful.
I want to input steam in one side and blowing air into the other side. The objective is condensate steam with air using a plate heat exchanger instead of an air cooled condenser. Any advice?
I have a Lennox Pulse 21 furnace installed around 1996 or so. A heating & cooling company came out today to discuss installing A/C on the unit. After looking at the heat exchanger, he told me there was green corrosion and subject to Lennox’s recall. He told me that Lennox will give me a brand new furnace for free, all I have to do is pay for installation. My concern is that he has a great incentive to replace my furnace because he will charge the labor for replacement, perhaps enough of an incentive to suggest replacing a furnace that doesn’t need replacement (considering the fact that this is not why I called him out in the first place). Has anyone else replaced their Lennox Pulse 21 via this heat exchanger recall program? If so, do you have any suggestions?
Why does Carrier use polypropylene heat exchanger instead of the industrial standard – stainless steel? What are the advantages and disadvantage of both?
